    Founder; Chairman and CEO

    Dr. Camarda is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Camarda Financial. A graduate of the University of NY (BS), and LaSalle University (Ph.D./finance), he has nearly 20 years experience as a stockbroker, financial planner, and portfolio manager. He is a well-known financial author, national media source, and radio and television financial expert. Dr. Camarda is the inventor of the ISIS® process.

    Kim Camarda is President and Chief Compliance Officer at Camarda Financial. She is a graduate of Centenary College (BS), and has over 10 years experience as a stockbroker and brokerage manager, financial advisor, and operations/compliance principal.

    Senior Vice President - Investments

    John Bowsman brings over twenty-five years of financial, insurance and business expertise to Camarda Financial Advisors, Inc. John’s financial certification credentials include the CFP (Certified Financial Planner), CSA (Certified Senior Advisor) and CLTC (Certified Long Term Care) professional designations. Additionally, he has a B.S. in Business Administration and an M.A. in Business Education from Northern Michigan University.

    John’s professional background reflects a wide-range of business and financial experience. For over twenty years, he was a successful small business owner, and also managed several brokerage offices, as well as served as an account representative at several major financial institutions. He is one of Camarda's founding Chartered ISIS® Practitioners™.

     

  • William Day , CLU, CFP®, L.U.T.C.F., ChIP™
    Senior Vice President - Investments

    William Day received a Bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland in 1964. He has completed the Certified Financial Planner™ certification program as well as the Chartered Life Underwriter and Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow professional designation programs. Mr. Day began his career in the financial services industry in 1970 and was one of the very first Certified Financial Planner practitioners in the country. He is one of Camarda's founding Chartered ISIS® Practitioners™.

     

  • Jonathan Camarda , CFS, BCM, ChIP™, ChFC®
    Senior Vice President - Investments

    Jonathan Camarda was educated in Florida, receiving a BS in Risk Management in 1993 from Florida State University. He has completed an educational course of study that meets the education component of the CFP® certification. In addition, Jonathan is a Certified Fund Specialist and Board Certified in Mutual Funds. He is one of Camarda's founding Chartered ISIS® Practitioners™.

     

  • David Croney , CFP®
    Personal Portfolio Advisor

    David has 23 years experience in financial and investment planning. He has been a featured speaker in central Maryland for several local companies and government agencies. He was an adjunct instructor at Anne Arundel Community College where he taught IRA Distribution Planning as well as investment courses.

    David graduated from the University of Delaware as well as the College of Financial Planning. He received his Retirement  Distribution Specialist designation is 2001. David and his family recently moved to Jacksonville from Annapolis Maryland.

  • Scott Kerr
    Director of Information Technology

    Scott, who studied Information Technology at Kent State University in Kent, OH, has over 16 years experience in the IT industry. Most recently he was as a consultant for DiscoverTec, Inc. where he supported business systems across the Jacksonville area. He has also served as Regional IT Manager for Computer Associates and as Director of Information Technology for LDA Systems, a computer consulting firm previously located in Brecksville, OH. Scott's skills include software development, database design, and network administration.

     

  • Deborah Mask
    Director of Client Services

    Deborah, who studied Business Management at Hillsborough Community College in Tampa, has several years experience as an executive assistant/office manager with leading Florida corporations. Her far-ranging responsibilities included liaison with managers, sales people and clients, as well as event planning. Her primary responsibility is to ensure that clients & visitors to the office receive the first-rate service people have come to expect from Camarda Financial. Deborah is responsible for planning & coordinating various corporate and client events.

     

  • Greg Palacios, MBA
    Director of Marketing

    Greg holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems and a Master’s of Business Administration with honors. Greg served in the Marine Corps for seven years. He completed his undergraduate business work while in the Marines as an Inspector Instructor. He also completed his MBA degree while employed full time in the private sector. Before joining Camarda Greg worked in marketing and sales for the coatings division of PPG Industries.   

     

  • Timothy Schick , CFA
    Director of Portfolio Management

    With a diverse experience base across multiple industries, Tim combines a broad understanding of business and the markets with a deep pool of analytical talent.  Tim began his career as a Naval Flight Officer, when he flew onboard U.S. Navy P-3C aircraft.  Subsequent to leaving active military service, Tim engaged in flight training and Foreign Military Sales efforts for Logistic Services International - here and abroad - until such time as he transitioned into the institutional investment business with the Alfred I. duPont Trust.  While there, Tim did in-depth research and analysis on all components of a $3.5 billion non-profit portfolio, in addition to high-level modeling, risk-budgeting, and asset allocation work.  Subsequent to his tenure at the Trust, Tim consulted with Interline Brands, a rapidly-growing, Jacksonville-based distribution company, on the cusp of its going-public transaction.  Tim played an integral role in the earnings forecasting process, as well as provided all-encompassing modeling and financial reporting support until joining Camarda.

    Tim has a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the United States Naval Academy, an M.S. in Aeronautics & Astronautics from M.I.T., a B.B.A. in Banking & Finance (Investments Track) from the University of North Florida, and an MBA from the University of North Florida.  Tim is a CFA Charterholder and a member of the local arm of the CFA Institute, the CFA Society of Jacksonville.

  • David McAllister
    Account Executive

    David first joined Camarda Financial Advisors as a Sales Intern in November of 2006 while studying Business Management and Marketing at the University Of North Florida. Upon his graduation in August of 2007 he accepted a full time position as an Account Executive. David is studying to become a Chartered Financial Consultant.

  • Joyce Eason
    Executive Vice President, Trading and Portfolio Accounting

    Joyce has been with Camarda for eight years and has 20+ years in the financial industry.  In her position she serves as liaison with our investment custodian(s) for clients' and financial advisors.  She is an integral part of the Client service Team, maintaining client relationships and portfolios.   
  • Cary Herold
    Staff Accountant

    Cary, originally from Atlanta, received a Bachelor's degree in Marketing with a minor in Business Administration from Berry College outside Atlanta. She has worked in marketing and accounting for large companies such as The Regina Company and Southern California Savings and Loan, as well as smaller companies, most recently serving as Controller for a major Jacksonville construction company.

  • Taf Greenstreet
    Chief Programmer

    Taf studied Computer Information Systems at Stetson University in DeLand, FL and came to us in December 2006.  He already had several years of experience as a programmer in both the medical education and insurance fields in Central Florida.  His areas of responsibility include ongoing automation of our ISIS® system and other software solutions for our integral business processes.
