What do you do at Camarda Wealth?

I began working at Camarda several months ago as a Project Assistant and have just recently accepted the role of Compliance Assistant and Client Relations Coordinator.  So I get to dig into the minutia of crossing the T’s and dotting the I’s of the financial industry and then get to do the “fun stuff” like planning client and employee parties and organizing volunteer opportunities. It’s a good balance.

A lot of the tasks that I will be assuming with Compliance, while important, will not be evident to the client.  However as the Client Relations Coordinator, the main focus of my role is getting to brainstorm and implement ideas to let our clients know how important they are to Camarda!  Everything from parties, informal client events, Lunch and Learns and just sending a special card, becomes a way of letting the client know that we care.

What are your credentials/past experience, for working in your position?

I worked Corporately for 15 years with Shoney’s Restaurants Inc and Acme Markets Inc as an Executive Administrative Assistant and Project Manager.  I partnered with my husband for 10 years in the Operation and Management of 6 Restaurants in the Virginia area and then most recently have also worked as a Certified Personal Trainer and Jazzercise Instructor.  So I am basically saying I can “Bring Home the Bacon, Fry It Up In a Pan and Then Help You Work it Off”!

What is something the investing public has to deal with that you want to fix?

I wish the average investor would be aware that there are financial experts like those at Camarda who truly do put their interests first and you don’t have to be an expert to consult an expert.

What do you like about working at Camarda Wealth?

I really love the opportunity for growth and professional education that Camarda offers.

What is your background?

I grew up in a very small town in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia with my sister and three brothers, spending most of my time outdoors enjoying all of the natural beauty.  Later after marrying, I lived in Charlotte, NC with my husband and children for a few years before deciding to move back to Virginia to purchase and operate restaurants in the Virginia, West Virginia and Maryland area. We lived in Winchester, VA for 10 years before making the “big jump” and moving to Fleming Island Florida in 2015.  We are currently loving the Florida lifestyle and not regretting the decision to never shovel snow again!!!!

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

A perfect weekend for me would be having a great cup of coffee by the pool, while reading a good book or enjoying an afternoon of gardening and grilling out with my children Joshua, Erin and Jason and daughter in law Lucy and grandson Christian.
