What do you do at Camarda Wealth?
I help build and maintain relationships and also help our clients develop a plan for achieving their financial goals.
What are your credentials/past experience, for working in your position?
I spent 7 years working for Fidelity Investments and then spent 3+ years selling residential real estate prior to joining Camarda Wealth. I’m also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner.
What is something the investing public has to deal with that you want to fix?
In this post-Great Recession economy, it’s easy to let yourself get spooked by the constant barrage of media hype. If you let yourself get caught up and react to it, you may be unintentionally adding additional risk to your portfolio. The additional risk that you may be adding is market timing risk. Anyone that’s been in this industry long enough will tell you that it’s time in the market, not timing the market, that counts. No one can time the market successfully on a consistent basis. However, if you have a plan that was developed for your particular set of circumstances and proper expectations have been set from the beginning then managing the fear that is often generated by the financial and political news media is much easier. This is not something that can be fixed on a large scale per se, but if I can help our clients by truly understanding their situations and then developing personalized plans to help achieve their financial goals then I feel like I’m doing my part.
What do you like about working at Camarda Wealth?
Aside from working with the smart, friendly and motivated people in our office, I really enjoy the variance of individual client situations and the complexity that comes with many of them. I’m always learning new things working here.
