What do you do at Camarda Wealth?

I am fortunate enough to have the opportunity to work with our clients in developing and implementing overall retirement strategies and planning guidelines that coordinate with their personal goals.

What are your credentials/past experience, for working in your position?

Upon completion of my MBA in Finance from Clemson University, I entered the financial field after leaving employment as a Sr. National Sales Manager partnering with Home Depot. For the past 5 years, I have worked for Fidelity Investments obtaining my Series 7 and 66 before joining Camarda Wealth Advisory Group.

What is something the investing public has to deal with that you want to fix?

One issue that resonates with me is the fact that the majority of information taught throughout the educational system is completely unrelatable to everyday finance that is necessary in the real world. Ideally, in my opinion, instead of being taught geometry or calculus, our youth would be informed of IRA contribution limits, pre-tax vs. Roth dollars, everyday fundamentals of financial knowledge that will prove to be invaluable throughout life.

What do you like about working at Camarda Wealth?

The greatest benefit of working at Camarda is the fact that acting as a fiduciary our goal is to always place the clients best interest first and foremost.

Favorite Podcasts / Books:

Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki, The Millionaire Next Door by Thomas J Stanly and William Danko, Freakonomics by Stephen Dubner and Steven Levitt and, my personal favorite, Investment Biker: Around the World by Jim Rogers (I actually own a signed copy and very proud of it).

What is your background?

I grew up here in Ponte Vedra and attended Providence High School. After graduating I had the amazing experience of receiving my bachelors from FSU and ironically attended Clemson for my MBA. This allows me the distinct advantage of being able to root for two ACC powerhouses.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

I enjoy spending time with my extended family who all reside in the Jacksonville area as well as random road trips leading to new adventures.
